Modern Financial Managing Continuity and Change is a new kind of finance text. Although all financial management texts cover finance, we know of no other “financial management” textbook that has anything to do with management. It addresses issues of success in today's rapidly changing business environment--how financial managers contribute, which financial tools they choose, how they use them, the information they seek, and why, and how they improve financial processes to better serve their external and internal customers. As quality-driven businesses embrace global markets, new management systems, complex technologies, diversity, differing ethical standards, and emerging financial products, tomorrow's financial managers need both the financial skills and the managerial insights to guide the firm's financial work with minimal risk. Modern Financial Managing is the book that finally puts management into "financial management."
